Keep your chef coat fresh and clean with our washing tips.
Follow the washing instructions of your chef coat
- To prolong the lifespan of your chef coat it is always recommended to follow the washing instruction on the washing label.
- Before use, wash at 30°C on a short program with a small amount of washing powder.
- Follow the wash instructions on the labels and do not overload the washing machine for the best result. Make sure you separate white and coloured clothing. This will ensure it will keep its original colour.
- Turn the coat inside out before washing and close the zipper.
- If you have highly contaminated white clothing, let it sit in Biotex for a night and then run a prewash + normal washing program on 40°C or 60°C.
- To remove grease stains, use a low temperature program and a high temperature program for fruit and vegetables stains.
Can you tumble dry a chef coat?
While tumble drying may seem like a convenient option, it's not typically recommended to tumble dry our chef coats. The high heat and mechanical agitation of tumble drying can cause shrinkage and damage to the fabric. Instead, we recommend air drying your chef coat by laying it flat or hanging it on a clothesline. This gentle approach helps preserve the integrity of the fabric, ensuring your coat maintains its shape and durability over time. Want to know what is the best way to store your workwear? If you're in a hurry, you can use a low heat setting on the dryer for a short period of time, but always check the care label on your chef coat to ensure it's safe for machine drying.
